Google has quietly developed a new feature for Android – “Google Assistant Ambient Mode”. It is activated while charging the gadget.
In short, “Ambient Mode” is a mode that allows quick access to several functions of your smartphone for ” linked ” gadgets – for example, from smart home devices to the lock screen displays information in the form of widgets. In this format, it is very comfortable to interact with them both by hand and by means of voice commands.

Ambient Mode

Thanks to Ambient Mode, the user has the ability to turn off the electrical appliances at home from thousands of kilometers away, or to monitor the situation on the roads before driving his car. “Ambient Mode also reminds you of what you have planned for the day, or allows you to watch video from home surveillance cameras.
An important prerequisite for Ambient Mode is that the smartphone must be plugged into a power outlet, as it requires a lot of power in active mode.

Google Ambient Mode

Starting next week, “Ambient Mode” will be available to most users of a number of Android devices, including Sony Xperia, Nokia, Transsion, Xiaomi phones, as well as Lenovo Smart Tab M8 HD and Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab. The feature will be available on these devices if the Voice Match screen is unlocked by voice.

To activate this mode, open the Google Search application, press “More” – “Settings” – “Google Assistant”, then press the “Assistant” tab, then scroll down to “Phone” in the “Assistant devices” section, then press the “Ambient Mode” checkbox.
