Many automobile manufacturers have already begun to create prototypes on electric power in order to enter the race of pilotless cars. Jaguar Land Rover recently showed a model of a universal city electric car called Project Vector.
The main advantage of the vehicle is the universality of its platform. It provides an opportunity to establish production of other vehicles based on the basic design. The developers say that every customer will be able to configure the car he needs during the order. It can become, for example, a bus or a commercial car.
Details of the technical equipment of the new product are not reported. The manufacturer plans to launch the Project Vector production project in Coventry next year.
