Samsung company has patented a new model of virtual reality glasses. Judging by the image, the device is not yet announced to be a full-fledged AR-headset, not a case, as Gear VR, in which the smartphone plays the role of a screen.

Future AR-glasses Samsung has – two lenses, and along their right temple there is a cable. However, it is not clear whether this means that the company prepares a wired model for production, or whether the wire is intended for charging.

Samsung received a patent on February 1, reports Galaxy Club. Earlier Koreans repeatedly said that they are engaged in the development of “several AR- and VR-products”, but the new glasses may become their first device of virtual reality in recent years.
New models of Gear VR, allowing you to plunge into the virtual world with the help of a smartphone, the company has not released since 2017. And the latest flagship tablet phone Samsung, the Galaxy Note10, was the first to be incompatible with 3D-glasses.

Samsung is not the only major manufacturer of smartphones, which may be busy developing a new AR-device. On the eve of the agency Bloomberg reported that the first own model prepares and Apple. It is assumed that this headset will be able to connect to the iPhone and display in front of human eyes virtual elements that enrich the environment – for example, walking routes, messages or game elements. An Apple AR device may be released next year.
