These days, the annual CES 2020 exhibition is being held in Las Vegas. Representatives of all major electronics developers present their products and talk about technology.
In this review, readers can find several interesting gadgets and one technology.

Tablet computer of 17-inch size development by Intel
Flexible devices become part of users’ lives around the world. At the beginning it was just smartphones, but then there appeared laptops and even speaker systems.
Now it is turn for tablets. Intel announced the Horseshoe Bend concept with a 17.3-inch display at CES 2020.
This concept was based on the experience gained from two other models: Tiger Rapids and Twin Rivers. The creators reported that they faced a number of challenges. First of all, it concerns the integration of the folding 17.3-inch display into the case. There were also problems with ensuring sufficient autonomy of the device.

The base of the gadget hardware is Intel Tiger Lake UP4 chipset, all workflows are managed by Windows 10.
Folding the half of the tablet is carried out with the help of a special swivel, in order to improve ergonomics in work, there was used a convenient stand.
Earlier at the exhibition was shown a flexible laptop of Lenovo Company. The Horseshoe Bend differs from it by the presence of thin frames, which follows modern trends.
Representatives of the developer during the presentation of the new product did not go deep into its specifications. Also, it is not yet clear how much the device will cost and when it will be introduced to the market.
Smartphone with a screen on “electronic ink”
Manufacturers of e-books widely use E-Ink displays in their work. This is explained by the specifics of the gadgets that are created. They should not consume a lot of power and overload the eyes of users.
The disadvantage of this technology is that it can only transmit monochrome images. Therefore, this technology was not applied in smartphones and other mobile devices.

Thanks to the efforts of Hisense company, which developed Hisense Color smartphone with E-Ink color display, everything can be changed.
The manufacturer said that the method created by him, allows mass usage of colored E-Ink displays in smartphones. The frequency of their update is much higher than that of monochrome analogues.
The above mentioned smartphone company Hisense will start selling in the medium price range, as well as the model Hisense A5, which debuted at the end of last year.
Specialists have already expressed their preliminary views on the new product. All agreed that it will be focused on the target audience, which prefers devices with high autonomy.
The market launch date and specifications of Hisense Color remained unknown.
Technology for smart city.
The fifth generation networks are spreading everywhere. This helps to increase the number of connected devices. Nowadays, it is theoretically possible to create a whole infrastructure of a smart city forming a single ecosystem.
Samsung presented at CES 2020 V2X technology, which is connected to 5G networks. Its main idea is to create conditions in which the driver of any vehicle, always be aware of what is happening next to it.

For clarity, the creators of the concept demonstrated a video with real-life scenarios. If, for example, a car driver receives information about following an “ambulance” or a fire truck, he must slow down and give way.
When approaching a pedestrian crossing, the system warns him of the need to be more attentive and ready to fully stop the vehicle.
Drone equipped with a high resolution camera and night vision
Autel Robotics brought the EVO II drone to the CES 2020 exhibition. It is equipped with night vision, the ability to record 8K video.
Three drone configurations were presented. In the simplest configuration it received a camera with CMOS-sensor and the ability to record video in 8K resolution (8000×6000 pixels). Its linear size was 0.5 inches. The next configuration of EVO II is equipped with a 6K-sensor and an aperture twice the size.

The EVO II Dual version is additionally equipped with a FLIR infrared camera that allows you to shoot in the dark.
Regardless of the modification option, all gadgets received a system of 12 sensors for computer visualization, two sonar and a flashlight, which are used for take-off and landing.
EVO II is able to accelerate to a speed of 72 km / h, the autonomy of its work is 40 minutes. Another drone can track 64 objects simultaneously, is not afraid of strong winds and can avoid obstacles on its way.
