For an unknown reason, Xiaomi likes to launch its smartphones into space. The manufacturer has not missed this opportunity with the new flagship Mi10 Pro. So, it was possible not only to test the durability of the gadget, but also to test the capabilities of its 108-megapixel camera, currently the best in the rating of DxOMark.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared this information on his Weibo page. He presented a series of space wallpapers taken with the new Xiaomi Mi10 Pro:
“The idea of launching a smartphone into space to take pictures of the Earth is crazy. We went a long way before we could do it. The resulting set of photos was worth it,” said the Xiaomi CEO.

Unfortunately, Lei Jun did not share information about how exactly the smartphone flew into orbit and how it returned to Earth.
