Xiaomi presented the third generation of Black Shark family new products. It included the smartphone Xiaomi a major modification of Black Shark 3, as well as its senior modification Black Shark 3 Pro, which is different in size and battery capacity. By their characteristics, they can be compared with the flagship models of 2020.
Technical Feature
Presented by the brand Xiaomi gaming smartphone and its senior Pro version is based on the most powerful at present Snapdragon processor. Manufactured using 7nm technology, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip has 8 cores divided into three clusters. In addition, the processor supplements the built-in graphics Adreno 650 and modem X55, which provides support for modern 5G-networks.
Smartphones of the third generation of Black Shark received a fresh RAM module, dated 2020. The main memory is represented by a high-speed UFS 3.0 module. The liquid cooling system prevents the gamer’s gadget from overheating. According to the manufacturer, it became more effective than the previous solution, which was equipped with a range of Black Shark 2.
Design of both versions of the smartphone made it possible to build in two batteries separately. Mainly Black Shark 3 has a total capacity of 4720 mAh, while the older Pro-version – 5000 mAh. In addition, both gadgets support wireless technology (up to 18 W) and fast charging 65 W.
Operating system is Android 10, supplemented with JoyUI branded firmware based on MIUI 11.
Display and cameras
Both Black Shark models received screens with 90 Hz refresh rate. Displays are also complemented by DC Dimming technology, which helps reduce blinking at low brightness. Gamer smartphone Xiaomi is equipped with 6.67-inch screen on AMOLED-matrix with support for Full HD+. The senior Black Shark 3 Pro has a bigger display with a 7.1-inch diagonal and supported resolution is extended to Quad HD+.
Cameras on both smartphones are identical. The selfi camera is located in the display frame at the top. It produces 20 MP of enhanced quality photos (thanks to Artificial Intelligence technology) and Full HD movies at 30 fps. The main camera has three modules. The main one supports 64 MP resolution. It is complemented by a 5 MP portrait camera and a wide-angle 13-megapixel sensor. The main camera records video at 60 f / sec in Full HD.
Additional features
Announced game smartphones are equipped with an onscreen fingerprint sensor, have a standard 3.5-millimeter audio jack. They have a range of stereo speakers with SmartPA amplifier and support for high resolution Hi-Res Audio files. Gadgets have game buttons on the sides. In addition, the senior Black Shark 3 Pro also has two sliding switches, similar to those in modern gamepads. They are located on the right side of the case and when the device falls, they automatically hide inside.
Price
Xiaomi Black Shark base smartphone is represented in three versions depending on the memory size: 8/128, 12/128 and 12/256 GB. Price of a simple build is estimated at $500, the senior version – $573.
The Senior Black Shark 3 Pro is available in two configurations: 8/256 and 12/256 GB. Recommended price is $673 and $716, respectively.
