Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp introduced its first flagship smartphone with support for 5G networks. Sharp’s main emphasis was on the quality of the display’s color rendering. Moreover, the gadget is equipped with four main cameras and has a good stock of RAM.
In Sharp Aquos R5G is installed 6.5-inch QHD + IGZO-matrix with a resolution of 3168×1440 pixels. Display of the device supports 120 Hz refresh rate, with a maximum brightness of 1000 nit. Sharp representatives noted that the display brightness is adjusted automatically depending on the displayed picture.
Aquos R5G is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The main camera of the device is a set of four sensors: 12 MP, 48 MP, 12 MP and ToF-sensor, supports 8K-video recording . Resolution of the front camera is 16 megapixels. The built-in battery capacity of the device is 3730 mAh.
As a biometric authentication tool Sharp has installed a fingerprint scanner on a separate area at the bottom of the screen. Thus, the display has two cuts: under the scanner and under the front camera. The device features include an NFC module, IP68 waterproofing and the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard.
Launch of the new product will take place this spring. The gadget will be available in three colors: blue, black and white. Cost of Sharp Aquos R5G manufacturer has not yet disclosed.
